What's your moment: campaign for Web.com

Web.com sponsors golfers like Jim Furyk and made a sizable investment in creating the Web.com Tour. With Jim as the Co-Captain in the 2018 Ryder Cup, we launched a social engagement campaign to capitalize on that investment. We set out to showcase Jim's greatest career moments and draw parallels with how Web.com was integral to his success, just like Web.com is integral to the success of small and medium sized business owners.

Participants engaged with the content by contributing their own business or career success moments for a chance to win Ryder Cup tickets.

The Problem:

Web.com made a large investment in sponsoring the web.com tour and notable players like Jim Furyk. However, the sponsorship which brought lots of name recognition did little to drive awareness around what Web.com does and who it does it for.

Objective & Idea

Develop an engagement campaign that utilizes Jim Furyk to help showcase what Web.com does for SMBs.

What’s Your Moment?

In every person’s career, there’s a moment, or series of moments that validates all the hard work and effort it took to find success. Web.com helps SMB’s achieve those moments through our products and services.

Step 3

Select a winner and share in a post. Launch a site showcasing what web.com can do for you that redirects traffic.

Our winner was John Krinn who said, "After losing my first award winning restaurant in the 2010 recession, being on the brink of personal bankruptcy and leaving my passion, cooking, for 5 years, I won this Best Washington DC Restaurant Award at my new restaurant, appropriately named Clarity."

Results

Besides all the feel-good stories of success that came from this campaign, the actual data results were pretty staggering as well:
